Notes

SikTh’s debut album, released 18 August 2003 through Unparalleled Carousel / Gut Records. Produced by the band with Andrew Scarth, it introduced their twin-vocal attack and hyper-angular guitar writing and led to a breakthrough Download slot.

Three songs first appeared on the 2002 EP *Let the Transmitting Begin* (“Such the Fool”, “(If You Weren’t So) Perfect”, “Hold My Finger”) and were re-recorded here. The follow-up EP *How May I Help You?* (23 September 2002) included the title track, “Suffice”, and a cover of Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds’ “Tupelo” — also re-recorded for this album.

Singles: “Scent of the Obscene” (27 October 2003; b-side Iron Maiden’s “Wrathchild”) and “Peep Show” (December 2003). Standard edition runs 14 tracks (1:00:30); Japanese and later reissues add bonus covers, live cuts, and video material.
